Get a fixed quoteHow a build works
The steps are the same whether it’s a bathroom or a whole house. Here’s what happens and when.
- Site visit and quoteWe come and look at the site or the house, talk through what you want, and give you a written quote within two weeks.
- Fixed-price contractYou get a written contract and the disclosure statement and checklist that the law requires for residential work over $30,000. The price is fixed unless you change the plans.
- Building consentWe lodge the consent with Nelson City or Tasman District Council and deal with any questions they come back with.
- The buildThe same team on site from start to finish, with a weekly update and a walk-through at each stage. Council inspects as we go.
- Code compliance and handoverWe apply for the code compliance certificate, hand over the keys and warranties, and register your Master Build Guarantee.
How you pay
You pay in stages as the build goes, never ahead of the work. Each payment is due once that stage is done and you’ve had a look.
